Enough

One day, I woke up, and life was hard
life’s needs had gone just a bit too far
And when I reached and reached to meet those needs
I often seemed lose the forest through the trees
Like the seeds that sow my passion
Seemed to vanish as I lost attachment

Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough

Then came the moment when I couldn’t reach further
So instead, I reached for the life-preserver
Threw up my hands and said, “Enough is enough”
A recognition that I let things get too tough
I never want to say “enough is enough,”
I only want to say your enough is enough
It’s more than enough

Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough
It’s more than enough

I needed to show myself some love
I needed to grow and get above
The expectations that made me huff and puff
And to know that my enough was enough
Not a bluff that handcuffs my reality
But the stuff that reconstructs my mentality

Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough
It’s more than enough

Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough
Your enough is enough
It’s more than enough
